Apply to the RE:Action Reading Series Do you have a literary piece you want to propose for our gallery? The RE:Action Reading Series is a specific form of storytelling designed for the gallery space in which it's presented. Therefore, if you'd like to get involved, the first thing we ask is that you attend one of the monthly readings. If after seeing a show you're interested in participating, talk to either co-curator: Margot Bordelon or J. Adams Oaks at the reading you attend. They are both friendly folks who love to talk to other artists. They'll most-likely ask you to submit a sample of your writing so they can familiarize themselves with your voice and see if it's a good match. Pieces for RE:Action are written specifically for the series; they are under seven minutes long, in first-person, present tense, and are in response to a particular piece of art on display at the gallery opening. Thanks so much for your interest, and we look forward to seeing you at RE:Action! |
